Biography

Clinical/Counseling Experience

My hope is to approach therapy from a person-centered and strengths-based lens, in which clients feel safe to express themselves. I also hope to engage with clients in a way that fosters a supportive environment as well as promotes vulnerability, personal agency, and growth. My past clinical work has included both private and community mental health settings, giving me a wide range of exposure to diverse populations. I also have experience with administering cognitive and neuropsychological assessments and working with college students in an academic environment. My clinical interests include professionalism, adjustment concerns, anxiety, depression, trauma/adverse experience related concerns and neuropsychological assessments.

Multicultural Interests

As an individual from a multi-cultural background, I strive to approach my interactions with clients from a culturally competent perspective. Through this lens I hope to create a safe environment for clients of diverse backgrounds. Additionally, as a student in the School of Social Work, I am committed to acknowledging my personal privilege and being an advocate for social justice issues.
